Anson update!

Last Sunday Anson was released from the Bishopric in our ward. He served in the bishopric for a year and a half and enjoyed the experience. He had the opportunity to get to know the members of the ward really well! It was a great experience for our family and Anson definately is feeling bitter/sweet about being released. All I have to say is - I am excited to be able to sit by my husband at church again!

Really? One month already?

I can't believe how time flies! Shaefer is already a month old! He is getting bigger and bigger....grew out of the preemie clothes and is now pretty snug in the newborn ones! It just seems like we just barely left the hospital and got to take our sweet little baby boy home with us. I do feel much better so I guess time does have it's pluses! Anyway here are some pictures of our BIG BOY!

Shaefer's 3 Week Stats!

Shaefer has been throwing up so they have been worried about his weight gain - he was born as a 5 pound 4 ounce baby (a little runt). At two weeks he was only 5 pounds 15 ounces so they asked us to bring him in at 3 weeks to check his weight again! (Drumroll please.....)

Our little runt now weighs 7 pounds 8 ounces! WHAT?!? He gained a pound and a half in one week - they love it if they gain an ounce a day! Anyway he is getting so big! It is bitter sweet for us because we want him to get big and strong, but I don't want my baby to grow too fast!

Shaefer's new trick!

We got a boppy as part of a gift from Anson's family and it has been so fun! Shaefer loves his tummy and we put him in this for "tummy time" and he loves it! He still doesn't have complete control but he is getting so strong and so big! He is even getting too big for his premie clothes! Here is a little video of Shafer and I playing today!

More Shaefer

He is finally home with us! We got to take him home on friday! He has been such a joy in our home! Unfortunately we are still trying to make sure he is a little bigger before we have alot of visitors!
