The 2 Social Events of the Year!

I posted on my other blog about all the things I created for Shaef's party!  In the words of my father on our monthly family newsletter..."Tennille just hosted the second largest
social event of the year next to the Royal Wedding. It was Shaefer’s birthday party."
So if ya really wanna know about all the crazy things I did for his party.....click here!

I wasn't one of those people who woke up early to watch the Royal Wedding....but I sure did enjoy the "Today Show" recap of the event and spent the day watching videos of the ceremony and looking at pictures of the day!  I am so fascinated by the Monarchy and the traditions they have! So here are a few of my favorite things about my experience with the Royal Wedding -
This wedding photo - they are just radiating royalty!
This Church - It is amazingly beautiful!
This couple - so in love!
This floor - not something I picture in an old church....more like a 50's style kitchen!
 This bride and this dress!
This kiss that they analyzed on the Today Show....apparently just pecking in front of millions of people means that you may not last that long....I think you have a lot more evidence of a good marriage that outweigh the analysis of this kiss!
I also loved how Harry turned (since his brother couldn't) to see Kate walk down the aisle and the accents.

My favorite comment of the day was from Anson who said: "I love how we fought a huge war so we wouldn't have a king and now Americans are completely fascinated by the Monarchy."
Yes I am!

Oh good! I'm not the only one! I spent the beginning of the day (in between packing) watching all the coverage. And I was in love as well... It was gorgeous!!

Ha ha I love that comment by Anson! So true! I set my DVR to record it. I am a hopeless romantic and got a little misty at some parts! There is something captivating about them for sure! My favorite moment would have to be when Russ came in during their vows and starting talking like the priest from The Princess Bride!
